Do I need a prescription?

Yes. This is a prescription-only drug which must be prescribed by a fully qualified doctor and administered as part of a weight management programme. All requests to purchase Wegovy are fully reviewed by our medical team and a CheqUp doctor retains medical oversight throughout the treatment. (See our Prescribing credentials in the Footer). 

What happens at the end of each month?

Renewing is simple. Every four weeks, after your subscription payment is processed, we'll ask you to answer  3-4 questions about your experience of the medication. This helps us ensure it's still safe for you and understand if you're ready for a dose adjustment. Completing the questions takes less than a minute in My Account. Crucially - you’re in control. You can cancel or pause your subscription any time before your next renewal and we will never dispatch your order without your consent. Read more about the subscription here.

Is it clinically proven?

Yes. Worldwide clinical research showed people taking Wegovy lost an average of 15% body weight as part of a balanced weight-loss programme*. Here comes the science bit… The active ingredient is semaglutide which mimics the natural hormone in your gut (GLP-1) which tells your brain when it’s full. 

What are the side effects?

Like any medication some people do experience side effects. The most common ones with Wegovy are vomiting, nausea and diarrhoea but they’re usually mild and settle within a couple of weeks. Our Health Coaches are available to guide you through any side effects and provide 1:1 advice.

How long before I see any results?

Using Wegovy with our Health Coaching and nutritional advice, you should expect to see results within a few weeks with notable weight loss within 2-3 months. Your body will take some time to adjust to the changes but please be patient and trust the process.

How do I increase the dose?

It takes some time for our bodies to get used to Wegovy and other weight loss medication. People need to start on a low dose (0.25mg) and gradually increase this every month until they’re on the top dose (2.4mg). Our renewals process is very simple. We’ll contact you to ask how you’ve been feeling with the medication. Depending on your feedback, our doctors will either confirm your readiness to move to a higher dose or may advise you to stay on your existing dose for another month. It’s all done in My Account and takes about 3-minutes

Can I switch provider?

YES! You can provide 'proof of existing dose' in My Account after purchase. We ask for details of your last order from another provider where you received this dose (within the last 30 days). e.g. a screenshot of the email order confirmation or a prescription confirmation or a picture of the medication box with your name and dose. However, if you want to switch to a new medication you do have to start at the lowest dose to give your body time to adjust.
